planes, trains and automobiles

This picture postcard is the seventh in the series from my Agilent Technologies note book, and it’s on the way to Step-Dad.

Kelso Station, California

He and Mam and their new 4WD went to Adelaide late last year. They flew, and the vehicle went by train. From Adelaide they travelled to Darwin on The Ghan, as did their vehicle. Although the scenery is magnificent, I don’t think there were any railway stations of the type shown in the postcard of Kelso Station, in the middle of the Mojave Desert, California.

After Christmas in Darwin, they went by road to Broome for New Year, before travelling over several weeks to Perth [1]. Yes, lots and lots of kilometres.

[1] Looking up sites to show pictorially the feel of a place reminds me of being tourist in your own city. We did it earlier this year, and I can highly recommend it.
