This afternoon we were able to take advantage of the rain that we had a couple of days ago that thoroughly watered the garden. Almost one bulk bag of Glenvar lupin mulch spread in 1 1/2 hours. Phew!
We ran out of daylight, there is just a bit to finish off in the corner of the garden.
Last year it took two of us most of the day, and that is not counting the hours of wetting the soil (mostly black sand) with a wetting agent and keeping it wet – including the steaming mulch.
I’ll smooth out the lumpy bits tomorrow, and plan to spread some everlasting (pink and white) and poppy (red) seeds amongst the fruit trees.
