I saw my first Lady of the Night (Epiphyllum oxypetalum) flower a couple of weeks ago. But I have spotted this one forming much earlier.

When I first looked .. I thought it was a cactus flower … what plant does this bloom from ?

It is only recently that I have a name for the plant. Wrenhouse on Folia helped me to identify it from my rather vague description that it looks like both a cactus and an orchid.
There is a better picture of the plant here that I took to include it in my Front Verandah garden.
Having smelt and seen one flower, I’m keen to see it all over again
